90 years wait is over

The Annandale Distillery originally opened in 1836, it was later bought by leading brand, Johnnie Walker. It closed in the 1920’s, ending whisky production in Scotland’s south-western, Dumfries and Galloway region. Move on 90 years to 2014 and  the newly created Annandale company produces it’s first casks. Now after the minimum three years needed in cask to qualify as Scotch Whisky, the first single malt is now available.

In December 2017, Annandale will release two casks of it’s peated Man o’Sword and it’s unpeated Man o’Words named after Robert the Bruce and Robert Burns.

Recently, distilling giant Diageo announced the reopening of two of their historic sites
